Virtue of the Qur’an

Allah says:

“Indeed, this Qur’an guides to that which is most upright.” (17:9)

And:

“We send down of the Qur’an that which is healing and mercy for the believers.” (17:82)

The Prophet ﷺ said:

“Recite the Qur’an, for it will come on the Day of Judgment as an intercessor for its companion.” (Muslim)

Virtue of Recitation

• Great rewards for every letter

• Elevation of ranks in Paradise

• Qur’an intercedes for the reciter

• Light in this life and the next

فضل القرآن الكريم

قال الله تعالى:

﴿ إِنَّ هَذَا الْقُرْآنَ يَهْدِي لِلَّتِي هِيَ أَقْوَمُ ﴾
وقال سبحانه:
﴿ وَنُنَزِّلُ مِنَ الْقُرْآنِ مَا هُوَ شِفَاءٌ وَرَحْمَةٌ لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ ﴾

وقال رسول الله ﷺ:

"أقرؤوا القرآن فإنه يأتي يوم القيامة شفيعًا لأصحابه" رواه مسلم.

• فضل تلاوة القرآن

  • نيل الأجر العظيم

  • رفع الدرجات في الجنة

  • شفاعة القرآن لصاحبه يوم القيامة

  • نور في الدنيا والآخرة

The Importance of Learning and Teaching the Qur'an

The Prophet ﷺ said:

“The best of you are those who learn the Qur’an and teach it.”
(Al-Bukhari)

Meaning of the Hadith

The best believers are those who:

1. Learn the Qur’an—recitation, memorization, understanding, and reflection.

2. Teach the Qur’an—spreading it and guiding others.

Why Learning the Qur’an Matters

• Connects a Muslim directly with the words of Allah

• Purifies the heart and refines manners

• Spreads guidance and light in society

• Protects the religion from distortion

• Elevates ranks in this world and the next

The Danger of Abandoning the Qur’an

Allah says:

“And the Messenger has said, ‘O my Lord, indeed my people have abandoned this Qur’an.’” (25:30)

Forms of abandonment include:

• Not reciting

• Not reflecting

• Not applying its rulings

• Not living by its morals

أهمية تعلم القرآن الكريم وتعليمه

قال رسول الله ﷺ:

"خيركم من تعلم القرآن وعلمه"
رواه البخاري.

معنى الحديث

أفضل الناس منزلةً ومرتبةً عند الله هم الذين يجمعون بين أمرين:

1. تعلم القرآن – قراءةً وحفظًا وفهمًا وتدبرًا.

2. تعليمه – نشره وتعليمه للناس مشافهةً وشرحًا وتربيةً.

أهمية تعلم وتعليم القرآن

• ارتباط المسلم بكلام ربه مباشرةً

• تزكية القلب وطهارة النفس وتهذيب الأخلاق

• نشر نور القرآن في البيوت والمجتمعات

• حفظ الدين من التحريف والجهل

• رفعة الدرجات في الدنيا والآخرة

عاقبة هجر القرآن

قال تعالى:
﴿وَقَالَ الرَّسُولُ يَا رَبِّ إِنَّ قَوْمِي اتَّخَذُوا هَٰذَا الْقُرْآنَ مَهْجُورًا﴾
هجر القرآن يكون بعدة صور، منها:

• ترك التلاوة

• ترك التدبر

• ترك تطبيق أوامره

• ترك العمل بأخلاق القرآن

Etiquette of Reciting and Listening to the Holy Qur’an

Etiquette of the Reciter:

1. To face the Qiblah whenever possible.

2. To use the siwāk (tooth-stick) and cleanse the mouth, as an act of purification and reverence for the Qur’an.

3. To be in a state of purity from both minor and major ritual impurity.

4. To have clean clothing and a clean body.

5. To recite with humility, reflection, and contemplation.

6. To have a present and attentive heart, being affected by what is recited, and avoiding distractions and wandering thoughts.

7. It is recommended to weep while reciting; if one does not weep, then one should try to weep.

8. To beautify the recitation and improve one’s voice, and if the voice is not naturally pleasant, to improve it as much as possible without exaggeration or elongation beyond proper limits.

9. To observe proper manners while reciting the Holy Qur’an: not laughing, playing, or looking at things that distract, but rather reflecting and remembering, as Allah, Glorified and Exalted be He, says:
   (كِتَـٰبٌ أَنزَلْنَـٰهُ إِلَيْكَ مُبَـٰرَكٌۭ لِّيَدَّبَّرُوٓا۟ ءَايَـٰتِهِۦ وَلِيَتَذَكَّرَ أُو۟لُوا۟ ٱلْأَلْبَـٰبِ) 

Etiquette of the Listener

Likewise, the listener of the Holy Qur’an should turn to it with a humble heart, reflect upon its meanings, contemplate its verses, and take admonition from the wisdom and lessons it contains. One should listen attentively and remain silent while the Qur’an is being recited until the reciter finishes.

Allah Almighty says:

﴿وَإِذَا قُرِئَ الْقُرْآنُ فَاسْتَمِعُوا لَهُ وَأَنصِتُوا لَعَلَّكُمْ تُرْحَمُونَ﴾

آداب تلاوة القرآن الكريم واستماعه

أدب القارئ:

1- أن يستقبل القبلة ما أمكنة ذلك.

2- أن يستاك (سواك الفم) تطهيراً وتعظيماً للقرآن.

3- أن يكون طاهراً من الحدثين.

4- أن يكون نظيف الثوب والبدن.

5- أن يقرأ في خشوع وتفكر وتدبر.

6- أن يكون قلبة حاضراً فيتأثر بما يقرأ تاركاً حديث النفس وأهوائها.

7- يستحب له أن يبكي مع القراءة فإن لم يبك يتباكى.

8- أن يزين قراءته ويحسن صوته بها ، وإن لم يكن حسن الصوت حسنه ما أستطاع بحيث لا يخرج به إلى حد التمطيط.

9- أن يتأدب عند تلاوة القرآن الكريم ، فلا يضحك ، ولا يعبث ، ولا ينظر إلا ما يلهي ، بل يتدبر ويتذكر كما قال سبحانة وتعالى :

(كِتَـٰبٌ أَنزَلْنَـٰهُ إِلَيْكَ مُبَـٰرَكٌۭ لِّيَدَّبَّرُوٓا۟ ءَايَـٰتِهِۦ وَلِيَتَذَكَّرَ أُو۟لُوا۟ ٱلْأَلْبَـٰبِ) 

أدب المستمع

كما أن على سامع القرآن الكريم أن يقبل عليه بقلب خاشع يتفكر في معانيه ، ويتدبر في آياته ، ويتعظ بما فيه من حكم ومواعظ ، وأن يحسن الأستماع والإنصات لما يتلى من القرآن حتى يفرغ القارئ من قراءته.

قال الله تعالى:

﴿وَإِذَا قُرِئَ الْقُرْآنُ فَاسْتَمِعُوا لَهُ وَأَنصِتُوا لَعَلَّكُمْ تُرْحَمُونَ﴾

How to Recite the Qur’an

The Qur’an should be recited in the best and most accurate manner,
as the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ recited it.

Four essential elements ensure proper recitation:

1. Correct articulation of letters
   Producing each letter from its proper articulation point.

2. Correct application of letter characteristics
   Such as strength, softness, breathiness, elevation, etc.

3. Applying Tajweed rules
   Ikhfā’, Idghām, Madd, Iqlāb, etc.

4. Beautifying the voice
   Improving tone without exaggeration or singing styles.

Recitation is an act of worship

The Prophet ﷺ said:

“Beautify the Qur’an with your voices.” (Abu Dawud)

And:

“He is not one of us who does not recite the Qur’an in a pleasant tone.” (Al-Bukhari)

كيفية قراءة القرآن الكريم

كيفية القراءة الصحيحة

قراءة القرآن تكون على أحسن وجه وأكمل صورة كما قرأه رسول الله ﷺ،
وتعتمد على أربعة أمور أساسية:

1. صحة مخارج الحروف
   إخراج الحرف من موضعه الصحيح دون تغيير.

2. صحة صفات الحروف
   إعطاء الحرف صفاته اللازمة والمتعدية.

3. تطبيق أحكام التجويد
   من إظهار وإدغام وإخفاء ومدود وغير ذلك.

4. تحسين الصوت وتزيين الأداء
   من غير مبالغة أو تكلف.

 القراءة عبادة

قال رسول الله ﷺ:

"زينوا القرآن بأصواتكم"
رواه أبو داود.

وقال ﷺ:

"ليس منا من لم يتغن بالقرآن"
رواه البخاري.

Levels of Recitation

There are four levels of Qur’anic recitation:

Level                                Description

Tahqīq                  Very slow recitation, for beginners and teaching

Tartīl                     Calm, steady, reflective recitation — the preferred style

Tadwīr                  Moderate pace between Tartīl and Hadr

Hadr                     Fast recitation while maintaining Tajweed rules

Evidence

Allah says:

“And recite the Qur’an with measured recitation.” 

للأمة أربع مراتب في تلاوة القرآن:    

            الوصف                                                         المرتبة   

  قراءة بطيئة جدًا مع إعطاء الحروف حقها، للتعليم                  التحقيق 

قراءة متوسطة بتؤدة وخشوع، وهي أفضل وأكمل                     الترتيل

قراءة متوسطة تميل للسرعة مع مراعاة الأحكام                       التدوير

سرعة مع المحافظة على سلامة الأحكام وعدم الإخلال                 الحدر

الدليل

قال تعالى:

﴿ وَرَتِّلِ الْقُرْآنَ تَرْتِيلًا ﴾
